Surah Hud Ayat 78 Tafseer

Para 12 - وَ مَا مِنْ دَآبَّةٍ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

11.78

وَ جَآءَهٗ قَوْمُهٗ یُهْرَعُوْنَ اِلَیْهِؕ-وَ مِنْ قَبْلُ كَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ السَّیِّاٰتِؕ-قَالَ یٰقَوْمِ هٰۤؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِیْ هُنَّ اَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَ لَا تُخْزُوْنِ فِیْ ضَیْفِیْؕ-اَلَیْسَ مِنْكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِیْدٌ(78)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Imaan

And his people came running to him (for the boys), and they were in the habit of committing evil deeds (homosexuality) from before. He said, 'O my people! These are the daughters of my nation; they are purer for you (to marry), therefore, fear Allah and do not disgrace me in the midst of my guests (angels). Is there not even a single righteous man amongst you?'

Commentary

Prophet Lūṭ عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم meant that the women of the nation are a means of creating a pure bond of intimacy; a lawful relationship through marriage would enable the men to benefit from their wives in a ḥalāl manner.
